Indian President Ram Nath Kovind Visiting EthiopiaOctober 4, 2017 - India’s President Ram Nath Kovind has arrived in Addis Ababa for a two-day official visit to Ethiopia. President Mulatu Teshome and other high government officials welcomed President Kovind upon his arrival at Bole International Airport. During his stay the President will discuss bilateral and multilateral issues that enhance relations between the countries and meet the Indian community in Ethiopia, it was learned. President Kovind is the first Indian president to visit Ethiopia in over 54 years. Over 584 Indian companies have invested over two billion USD in various areas, including textile and garments, education, technology, among other sectors.
