Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and President of the Indian National Congress (INC) Mallikarjun Kharge has congratulated BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on his party’s victory in Bangladesh’s 13th National Parliament Election. In a post on his verified X account on Friday, Kharge said: “On behalf of the Indian National Congress, I congratulate Tarique Rahman and the BNP for winning the Bangladesh National Assembly elections. India and Bangladesh share deep bonds of history, language and culture. “All Indians will always support a democratic, progressive and inclusive Bangladesh for the stability and peace of our region.”The 13th National Parliament Election was held on Thursday. According to unofficial results, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), led by Tarique Rahman, secured 216 seats.
