DHAKA, Jan 21, 2024 (BSS) - Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh PranayVerma today made a courtesy call on Industries Minister Nurul Majid MahmudHumayun at his office at the Industries Ministry in the city. During the meeting, they discussed various issues related to mutualinterests, including development of bilateral relations and trade andcommerce, said a press release. In his speech, Humayun laid emphasis on increasing cooperation of BangladeshStandards and Testing Institution (BSTI) and Bangladesh Association of Banks(BAB) with similar organizations in India. Mentioning the SME sector as the backbone of the economy for both countries,Pranay Verma said, Bangladesh and India can learn from each other fordeveloping the sector. He informed that training opportunities for Bangladeshis are increasing invarious institutes in India including ITEC.
