The Indian Visa Application Centres (IVACs), managed by the State Bank of India on behalf of the High Commission of India, has initiated a “cashless” visa application system effective from Wednesday. This facilitates the process as applicants will be able to pay the visa application processing fee using online modes of payment. The Indian High Commission in Bangladesh has been taking various initiatives to make the visa application process simpler and applicant-friendly, said the High Commission on Wednesday. The online payment facility is only available to Bangladeshi passport holders. The new initiative of visa application system will significantly reduce the waiting time of applicants at IVACs, said the High Commission.
