The Mathura police have registered an FIR against the CEO of e-commerce site IndiaMART, and two others for allegedly selling Govardhan rocks on their website. The case was registered based on a complaint by Mathura-based social worker Keshav Mukhia at Govardhan police station on February 7. According to media reports, the police said that IndiaMART's website claimed that the rocks were "natural" and its price was quoted as Rs 5,175 per piece. The Uttar Pradesh Brahmin Mahasabha will meet Mathura DM on Monday calling for strict action against the company and the supplier.
