India to fortify vigil along Bangladesh borders

India will strengthen vigilance along the Bangladesh border to stop infiltration and border crimes, besides preventing inimical activities, Biplab Kumar Deb, chief minister of the northeast Indian state of Tripura, said on Wednesday. “The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that he would explore the feasibilities of installation of CCTV cameras on the fencing along the Indo-Bangladesh border,” Deb told the reporters. “Home ministry would consider setting up the central control and monitoring rooms so as to prevent any illegal activities on the border,” Deb said. “Phensydyl smuggling from India to Bangladesh has left an ill impact on the youth of Bangladesh. We’ll take concrete steps to curb this menace,” the chief minister continued.
