The Nigeria women’s National under-17 football team on Saturday played a goalless draw with their Ethiopian counterparts to qualify for the upcoming 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. The match, played at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, was the final round of the World Cup qualifier. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that both teams played a game of supremacy to feature in the World Cup in India. NAN reports that the goalless draw, however favoured the Nigeria Flamingos. The winner on aggregate will pick one of Africa’s tickets to the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in India scheduled to hold on October 11 to 30, 2022.
