noidaUpdated: Sep 11, 2020 23:18 ISTOf all the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases detected so far in Gautam Budh Nagar, 20% of them were reported in the first 11 days of September. According to official figures, of a total of 9,808 cases in the district till September 11, 2,063 cases were reported from September 1 to 11. By contrast, in the entire month of August, as many as 2,864 new cases were reported and 2,174 patients were discharged. According to chief medical officer Dr Deepak Ohri, the recent surge in cases is due to an increase in testing. The DM further said the main aim of the administration is to reduce the case fatality rate (CFR).
