Soumya finished his Dhaka Premier League season with Abahani Limited in a bang as he smashed a century and double century in the 50-over format. Soumya’s return to form is always pleasing for Bangladesh, and the Tigers have been posting 50-plus partnerships in the recent ODIs quite regularly. Soumya formed a 60-run opening wicket partnership with Tamim Iqbal against South Africa at the Oval Sunday. And credit goes to Soumya because among those 60, he contributed 35 off just 21 deliveries. Just the way Bangladesh expected, and just the way the Tigers camp expected from the on-song Soumya.
