Bihar today plunged into crisis with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tendering his resignation to Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi. Nitish's resignation came after Lalu Prasad Yadav remained defiant, saying that his son Tejashwi, embroiled in corruption allegations, will not resign as the deputy chief minister of Bihar. I am resigning in the interest of Bihar," Nitish said after tendering his resignation. "It became impossible to work in this environment," Nitish said, refusing to speculate about his future actions. Nitish will continue as a caretaker chief minister until the next government is appointed.
