It is the new foot-on-the-ground version of imperialism being practised by the US through Israel, its surrogate in the region. Alongside its mammoth wartime size, being a nuclear power, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have a very capable modern air force. To a great extent, the Israeli military does depend on its partnership with the US. President Joe Biden has already pledged to stand by Israel, seemingly giving the green light for a continued operation, including ground incursion. If Israel does not have the notion of greater Israel in sight, why is this apartheid regime asking for the displacement of all Palestinians from Gaza?
