The Independent Medico-legal Unit will soon launch a mobile app Kenyans can use to report torture and cases of human rights violations. Executive director, Peter Kiama, said that the app, dubbed 'Ripoti', will help reduce the fear among Kenyans when reporting such cases. "There are so many people who witness these violations but they are not able to report them. "The app will also allow one to give a description of the, the location of the act and perpetrators identity," Kiama added. Kiama also noted that next year, they will come with an SMS number where those who do have smart phones can be to report torture cases.
