He furthered that watching violent movies is also a contributing factor to this growing menace. Prof. Aning stated that what was exhibited at Jamestown on Monday, June 14 is a reflection of what these criminals watch in crime related movies. The essence of the indiscriminate behaviour and shootings that we see relates to that power and ability to show fear in the society,” Prof Aning explained. A hawker and police escort, Constable Emmanuel Osei were shot dead by robbers at Jamestown in Accra.
