The drugs, which were burnt at the Gbalahi Field, were part of efforts by NACOC to eradicate drug trafficking in the Northern Regional capital and curb its abuse by individuals. NACOC said the exercise was conducted under orders of the Circuit Court following the successful prosecution and conviction of suspects connected to the seized drugs. The drugs destroyed included large quantities of marijuana and synthetic opioids such as tramadol and its variants.
