Sanchit studied mechanical engineering at McGill University in Canada while Tarishi graduated from high school last year and left for Berkeley to pursue economics. "She was the ideal Berkeley student." Tarishi went to high school at the American International School in Dhaka (AISD), also located in the Gulshan area of the city. She earned the internship through the Subir and Malini Chowdhury Center for Bangladesh Studies at Berkeley, named after one of Bangladesh's best-known management and quality specialists and his wife. Back in Berkeley, Tarishi was bright academically, popular with classmates and always ready to help others, and a vigil in her honour is already being planned for August, when the university reopens, Sachdeva said "She was scholar, friend, colleague - and great at everything," Sachdeva said.
