Defecation, damage, and verbal abuse at Tekapō's Church of the Good Shepherd has led to temporary measures being put in place to protect the tourist hot spot. Mackenzie District Mayor Graham Smith said he and council staff met with Church of the Good Shepherd vicar Andrew McDonald on Tuesday to discuss immediate options to help reduce the number of tourists around the church.
