Sir Ian McKellen’s love letter to theatre has propelled him into the record books as the first actor to top the list of influential people in the performing arts. His one-man show packed with vignettes and short revivals of his most memorable performances was seen in more than 80 venues from Orkney to the Isle of Dogs, while raising millions of pounds for arts projects.
