In Lahaul & Spiti, American paraglider Trevor Bockstahler tragically lost his life in an accident. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) recovered his body from an altitude of 14,800 feet with extraordinary bravery and skill. With support from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local police, the ITBP team completed the challenging rescue operation, receiving praise from Union HM Amit Shah.
