He was bought at a massive price of Rs14.50 crore by Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) outbidding Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. ■ Stokes’ compatriot, left-arm fast bowler Tymal Mills was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the next highest Rs12 crore price. ■ Although not high as England players, young players from Afghanistan too made a splash with leg-spinner Rashid Khan Arman bought at Rs4 crore from Sunrisers Hyderabad.
