The deceased officer, Lance Corporal Kingsley Boahen, was not on duty at the time of the incident. The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), COP James Oppong Buanuh during an encounter with the media at the crime scene, together with other members of the Police Management Board earlier today noted that another crime scene team from Accra have been deployed to aid in the investigation. “We have had an initial crime scene and another crime scene team has arrived from Accra to beef up and support the regional crime scene team that is here,” he noted. The IGP has extended his condolence to the bereaved family and wished the injured officers speedy recovery. “We have to wish the injured officers a speedy recovery and to the family of the late police officer and his colleagues, I extend the police administration’s condolences,” he said.
