Ashanti Regional Chairman for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako has given former President John Mahama, National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, an ultimatum on the announcement of a Running Mate for the 2020 general elections. Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Chairman Wontumi hinted that he knows for sure who the NDC has settled on as running mate to former President John Mahama. “The only message I have for John Mahama, Ofosu Ampofo and Asiedu Nketiah is that they should outdoor their Running Mate and if they don’t, I will announce the Running Mate for them. I have given them few hours to do that…I know their Running Mate for 2020 elections just as when they were conducting their elections to choose their leaders, I predicted the kind of leaders they will select”, he asserted. “Because of this, John Mahama is afraid to bring his manifesto out.
