Cord has conditionally suspended the planned Thursday protests pressing for the electoral commissioners to leave office. The coalition however warned that the protests will resume on Monday next week if the arrested Cord legislators are not released before then. The Opposition cited political will and good faith in engagements to resolve the IEBC impasse for the move. "All these, unless resolved, will see us resume our demonstrations on Monday 20th and Thursday 23rd, 2016,” Orengo and Simiyu said. “We reiterate once more that as Cord, we hold no cards under the table," Orengo said.
