more-inEven as charges are being levelled against Minister for Mines and Geology Vinay R. Kulkarni on his alleged involvement in the murder of BJP leader Yogishgouda Goudar, Mr. Kulkarni on Saturday gave a new twist to the issue by admitting that he had met the murdered leader’s brother. Addressing presspersons here, Mr. Kulkarni said his name was unnecessarily being dragged into the controversy to tarnish his image. He clarified that although he met Mr. Gurunathgouda, elder brother of Yogishgouda, at the residence of a noted businessman in Dharwad, he had not nothing to do with striking a compromise. Kulkarni said he had found out that advocate Anand was writing anonymous letters about him at the insistence of BJP leader Amrut Desai, and circulating it on social media. “I took him to task over phone and this has been recorded and circulated, linking it to the murder case,” he said.
