The creator of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Asit Kumarr Modi is often asked about the impending return of Disha Vakani aka Dayaben to the show. Ghanashyam Nayak who plays the role of Natukaka is also away from the show due to his illness and awaiting his return. On being quizzed about Disha, Asit gave an unusual reply citing that the show must go on even if she is no more a part of it. Modi said, "I feel I should become Dayaben now! But, right now I don't feel Daya's return or Popatlal's wedding is important."
