Australian cricketer James Faulkner has clarified that he is not 'gay' after a birthday post was misunderstood as a coming out of closet announcement. Faulkner, who is celebrating his 29th brithday, posted a picture with his mother and his friend. "Birthday dinner with the boyfriend @robjubbsta and my mother @roslyn_carol_faulkner#togetherfor5years," read the caption of Faulkner's Instagram post. Let’s never forget love is love, however @robjubbsta is just a great friend. England's Steven Davies was the first international cricketer to come out open as gay when he made the revelation in an interview in 2011.
