Chan Chen had told a friend a doctor had diagnosed her husband with schizophrenia. Chan Chen, also known as Vivian, was found dead in a chest freezer at her Pymble home on November 27, 2019. The inquest received evidence that Luo had behaved increasingly erratically throughout 2019 and had lost one of his two jobs in September 2019. About a year and a half earlier, the friend said, Chen had told her a Chinese doctor had diagnosed Luo with schizophrenia. Luo's DNA was discovered under Chen's fingernails, on a bandaid in the freezer, and in blood samples from around the apartment, the magistrate wrote.
