Our taste panel sampled three: Lucky Charms Treats, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Treats and Golden Grahams S’mores cereal bars. So General Mills’ line of “treat bars” is a logical step: taking the familiar sweet cereal and using it as a base for a chewy, candy-bar-like treat (sold in packs of five for $4 a box). Don’t call them granola bars, even though Amazon and Walmart.com categorize them as such. Some people like Lucky Charms but I’m no fan of those sad, crumbly marshmallows, so I liked that bar the least. Cereal companies admit what they’ve been feeding us isn’t breakfast, but dessert.
