The Inter-Agency Council on Traffic has impounded more than 9,000 vehicles in its continuing operations against illegally parked vehicles and other road obstructions to ease traffic in the metropolis. The team also towed and cleared all parked vehicles and other road blockages obstructing traffic flow near the four terminals of Ninoy Aquino International Airport. I-ACT chief and concurrent MMDA general manager Thomas Orbos said the campaign will be intensified in the coming days. The government's road and bridge projects will mean nothing if they will remain filled by illegally parked vehicles and other obstructions, the President said. Duterte said he directed the MMDA and the local government units to immediately clear the roads and major thoroughfares of all unnecessary obstruction including vehicles parked on the street.
