Some 1,084 internally displaced persons or IDPs in Marawi City have received skills training from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority. Tesda director general Guiling Mamondiong said the training will give the IDPs a new lease on life following the war in Marawi, which was finally liberated from terrorists last week. He expects an increase in the number of students who wanted to enroll under the Tesda scholarship program after the Marawi siege. The Tesda chief encouraged the people of Marawi who want to avail of the scholarship to visit the nearest agency office or check its official website www.tesda.gov.ph for information. The Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte-National Executive Coordination Committee, in tandem with TESDA, assisted some 4,000 people affected by the Marawi crisis.
