US vice-president, Kamala Harris has vowed to defeat Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump and what she termed ‘his extreme project 2025 agenda’. She expressed honour to be endorsed as the presidential nominee of the Democratic Party. In a statement, Harris said she would “earn and win” the nomination, adding that she would work hard to unite the party and country to defeat Trump, according to the London Evening Standard. “I first came to know President Biden through his son Beau. “I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party and unite our nation to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda.
