They described the ailment as a chronic, non-communicable disease in which there is persistent raised blood sugar, hyperglycemia, in the body system. “Type 2 diabetes develops, when the body becomes resistant to insulin or when the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin. He said: “Type 1 diabetes is more common in younger people, while Type 2 diabetes is more common in adults, although it is now becoming common in younger people.
