Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Tuesday launched all new sixth generation of its premium sedan Elantra at an introductory price starting Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). While the new 2.0 litre petrol variants costs between Rs 12.99 lakh and Rs 17.99 lakh, the 1.6 litre diesel variants are to cost between Rs 14.79 lakh and Rs 19.19 lakh in a Delhi showroom. On the other hand, the manual diesel Elantra would run 22.54 kmpl, while the six-speed diesel automatic version comes with a fuel efficiency of 18.23 kmpl. With Elantra we will further strengthen our market share in the country.”Hyundai currently has a market share of 17.1% of the Indian passenger vehicle segment.
