At least four persons have been arrested for allegedly making calls to the acting superintendent of Dhanbad district demanding money for ‘lucrative posting’. The police on Monday took a team to Hazaribagh, where his associate Subodh was arrested. Dhanbad Senior Superintendent of Police Manoj Ratan said, “Sanjay and Subodh are brothers-in-law. Probe also revealed that two months ago, the gang had reportedly made calls to a deputy jailor seeking to extort money on the same premise. However, the deputy jailor had ignored the calls and also did not inform the police about it.
