“We recognize this is a disruptive and stressful time for the Swansea Mews community. Many Swansea residents have pushed back on TCHC’s plans, remaining in their homes as the agency has not had legal authority to kick them out. TCHC estimates that residents of roughly 75 Swansea Mews townhomes were still in the community as of Sunday night. For years, Swansea Mews has been in a critical state of disrepair. Five years ago, all the needed repairs at Swansea Mews would cost 41.59 per cent of replacing the entire complex, with anything about 30 per cent considered to be critical condition.
