A 4.7 magnitude earthquake has struck near Te Kaha, east of Tauranga. Hundreds of people in the Bay of Plenty felt the quake, which hit at 6.19pm. It was centred 15km southwest of Te Kaha and 39 km deep. Most reported it as light or moderate, according to GeoNet. - NZ Herald
