Hundreds of book lovers flocked to pick up a bargain at the annual library sale in Christchurch this weekend. More than 50,000 books, magazines, DVDs and CDs were on sale from Friday until Saturday afternoon as part of the Christchurch City Libraries Big Bargain Book Sale. Most books were on sale for just $3, while young adult and children's books were on sale for $1. GEORGE HEARD/STUFF The Big Bargain Book Sale was held at Pioneer Stadium over the weekend with hundreds turning out to check out the bargains.
