Diver dies in Doubtful SoundWAIKATO WESTPAC RESCUE A helicopter was dispatched from Te Anau to take to 2 patients to Invercargill Hospital on Saturday. A diver found unresponsive in the water near Bauza Island, Doubtful Sound has died. Police received a report around 1.45pm on Saturday that the diver had been recovered, Sergeant Tod Hollebon said. That doctor performed CPR on the unresponsive diver, but he did not survive. The two other divers who helped bring the man to the surface were flown to Invercargill Hospital as a precaution.
