Human Rights Solidarity expressed concern about the escalation in attacks and bombings against residential areas and civilian facilities in Tripoli, and considered them war crimes. "Since early December 2019, the organization documented 177 casualties between dead and injured in 19 separate incidents; 42 victims fell in attacks outside Tripoli, including Murzuq, Misrata, Zawiya and Msallata," the organization stated. It also condemned the action that was taken by Tobruk's parliament who authorized Haftar to disable air, sea, and land ports. It called on the Security Council to investigate the targeting of civilians conducted by Haftar's militants, and the role of the UAE in the aggression on Tripoli.
