How were African zebras brought to Bangladesh?


Police suspect the zebras, rescued from a cattle market, were brought to Jashore to be smuggled into India. The Detective Branch (DB) of police rescued 9 zebras, hidden in a shed of the cattle market in Saatmile of Sharsha upazila around midnight on Tuesday. According to intelligence officials and animal experts, the zebras are of a continental African species. The DB police launched an investigation to find who brought the animals to Jashore and by which route, as well as how they were transported to Bangladesh. The police official assumed the zebras were brought to Dhaka on a cargo flight of the Turkish Airlines.
