The discussion on the MVP race and whether LeBron James should even be a part of it may come to a screeching halt. Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokic, Damian Lillard, James Harden, LeBron James, and of course, Giannis Antetokounmpo who is still not letting go of his stranglehold on the grand award. Joel Embiid had an injury, and now LeBron James has a worse one. For example, how the Lakers will perform in the coming weeks will be an indicator of just how valuable LeBron James is. And if the Lakers somehow become resilient, it should not mean that James, and even Anthony Davis, were not valuable.
