How fast is the universe expanding? The latest HST data suggests that the modern universe is expanding at a faster rate than the rate of expansion of the early universe. The early universe measurement rate was captured using data from European Space Agency’s Planck satellite. Theory says there are ‘three dark lords’ of the universe that are playing their games: Dark matter, Dark energy and Dark radiation. Some others hypothesise that the universe contains some new type of subatomic particles that travel close to the speed of light.
