I've been out for dinners with girlfriends and had a blast of a time, then been able to sober drive everyone home. But most importantly, I've faced three sober months of witching hours with my toddler tornados and we've all survived to tell the tale. Pour, pour, pour then hello empty cup. This is not about perpetuating an unhealthy body image or feeling the need to change myself because I didn't feel good about myself or worthy of someone else's standards. For two months I put myself first – I fed myself better food and carved time out to regularly attend classes.
