The continued rise of Sydney's petrol prices have industry leaders calling for fuel companies to drop their costs. Petrol prices across Sydney experienced the most dramatic increase, as the cost of fuel rose three times faster than they fell, NRMA revealed. With the average price of petrol in Sydney sitting at 115.8 cents per litre for regular unleaded, NRMA is calling out petrol companies to immediately lower prices. The average wholesale price in Sydney is currently 109.2 cents per litre, leaving a 6.6 cents profit margins for the major oil companies. Mr Khoury said that oil companies need to provide a fairer price deal for Australians in the new year.
