A local family of gin-loving adventure-seekers, though, who’ve just opened a Toronto distillery devoted almost entirely to making gin, would disagree. They’re betting that the craziness has only just begun and craft gin still has plenty of room to grow. Reid’s isn’t only unique and unusual in that it’s a family-owned and family-run craft distillery, it’s also one of the only ones in Ontario that makes gin exclusively. So far, they only have one flagship offering, Reid’s gin, but more gins will follow. At some point, they may also offer up other spirits—a vodka may appear eventually—but they want to be known as a gin distillery first and foremost.
