How Woolworths, Target, Wendy's stole their names from US brands

Have you ever visited the U.S. and been confused to see Target, Wendy's and Kmart stores, but not as you know them? They decided to open a variety store modeled on successful American chain FW Woolworth which opened in upstate New York in 1879.
