And many working moms—specifically working moms of color—aren’t getting the support they need to succeed in the workplace, from salaries to leadership opportunities to flexible schedules. We can’t talk about “shaking the table” without admitting that sometimes, it’s just plain terrifying. No one knows what will happen, how people will react, and ultimately if things will change and get better. Working moms, especially working moms of color, face so many barriers and hardships at work that employers may not even know the extent of.
