Information available shows that the suspects carried out the crime in Edo on December 9, 2018, but they were arrested in the Enugu state. The IRT spokesman, DCP Jimoh Moshood said that the suspects allegedly poured raw acid on Taiwo Adesanya, after robbing him at the Olukwu area of Benin City of his truck with goods. He added that the suspects are notorious criminals who specialize in killing their victims with raw acid after dispossessing them of their belongings, especially vehicles. He revealed that they confessed to the crime and will soon be charged by a court, after they had been recognized by Adesanya.
