The results for the first nine months of 2017 for Spanish based retail giant Inditex (parent of Zara) were spectacular. Zara, a retail brand with fashion for women and men, has 2, 266 stores and is the best-known division of Inditex in the U.S. Some of these stores are located in prestigious locations such as a Zara stores in Calle Preciado in Madrid. Focusing for a moment on Zara specifically, in the current fiscal year’s first three quarters, this division opened 60 Zara stores. Management is now indicating that it is accelerating its online drive with a plan that includes integration of physical and on-line stores.
