Rarely has an Ontario premier fallen so far, so fast, so soon. The latest results put her NDP at a mere 24.2 per cent support, barely above Ford’s flailing Tories. Green Party Leader Mike Schreiner is exceeding expectations — punching (and persuading) above his weight — but his party’s growth potential is limited in Ontario. Ford is in a tailspin, but no other party leader is flying high for the moment (or even airborne). Until our divided, leaderless opposition gets its act together, Ford will continue flailing, without necessarily failing in the next election.
