By Billy BegasHouse Committee on Overseas Workers Affairs chairperson and Kabayan party-list Rep. Ron Salo recommended the selective deployment of overseas Filipino workers to Libya. Salo said the recommendation came about after assessing the current political and security situation in Libya. He led the congressional mission to Libya last month. “As we chart the path forward, this mission marks a significant step towards redefining the landscape of overseas employment for Filipinos in Libya,” Salo said. Also included in the mission were COOP NATCCO party-list Rep. Felimon Espares, Committee Secretary Christopher Lomibao, and Legislative Officer Jeric Carolino.
